Paul Weidow

Paul Weidow

President

Paul is President and co-founder of PLEX. He has served the Intelligence Community and the Aerospace Industry in all facets of engineering and information technology for more than 19 years. Prior to starting PLEX, Paul was a Senior Director of Varen Technologies starting in April of 2006. Preceding his time at Varen, Paul was the Vice President of Intelligence Programs at Pangia Technologies with responsibility for all business activities across the Intelligence Community, and the Business Director for Henggeler Computer Consultants where he was responsible for all program management and business development activities. Paul also worked at Booz Allen Hamilton from 1996-2003, where his career encompassed software engineering, natural language processing, and project and program management. While at Booz Allen, Paul was instrumental in the formation of the Workforce Leadership Council, and served as the President of the Baltimore Chapter for two years. Paul also formed a company chapter of Toastmasters International and served as president of this chapter, the Baltim-Orators, for two years. Paul began his career at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), where he worked as an aerospace engineer in the fields of vibro-acoustics and spacecraft environment simulation.

Paul holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland. He currently is a member of AFCEA and Toastmasters. In his free time Paul plays soccer, travels as much as possible and tries to keep up with his children.

Stan Nolen

Stan Nolen

Vice President

Stan Nolen, CISSP, PMP, is Vice President and Co-Founder of PLEX. He began his career in the USAF as an enlisted Intelligence Analyst in 1984, and has served in various roles protecting and serving our country, including being commissioned as a Cryptologic Officer with a focus is on intelligence; cyber; electronic warfare in information operations mission areas, deployment to the Persian Gulf region after 9/11 to provide critical cyber and vulnerability network security support to USCENTCOM, and a year at the White House Communications Agency. Finally, he led the joint NSA/DISA Blue-Team cyber vulnerability assessments in Baghdad, Iraq. Lt Col Nolen’s last assignment was with the 175th USAF Network Warfare Squadron, at Fort Meade MD, where he served as the Director of Operations for an elite offensive cyber warfare unit. His civilian career experiences include security engineering support to UAV Intelligence, ISR platform (MQ-9 Reaper). Additionally, he is currently providing systems security support to cryptologic engineering and development program for Special Operations ISR platforms. Stan was a Director at Varen Technologies from 2010 through 2015.

Stan holds an M.S. in Information and Telecommunications from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Business Management from National-Louis University. Stan is a member of the AFCEA International Cyber Committee. When not at work, Stan enjoys biking and hiking with his family and their two dogs Shelby and Boss.

Terry Bradley

Chief Technology Officer

Terry Bradley, CISSP, CEH, is Chief Technology Officer and Director of Cyber Security Solutions at PLEX. Terry is a 1990 graduate of the US Air Force Academy and began his career as a signals intelligence (SIGINT) collection officer but transitioned to offensive information security testing and cyber operations in 1998 as an employee of the National Security Agency (NSA). Terry leads PLEX’s NSA NSCAP-accredited team of cyber security experts who perform cyber security consulting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing for a wide variety of both government and commercial customers. Terry specializes in application security testing and cyber security awareness training. Prior to his current role, Terry was a Computer Network Attack planner at US Cyber Command and then the internal Red Team Manager at Booz Allen Hamilton, a $5B/year strategy and technology consulting firm.

Terry holds a B.S. in English (with a minor in French) from the Air Force Academy and an M.S. in Management Information Systems from Bowie State University. He also holds a TS/SCI security clearance. Terry has served as a mentor for the national youth cyber education program, US Cyber Patriot, and is a member of the Colorado Springs chapter of the ISSA. Terry’s hobbies include swimming, hiking, and snowboarding.

Ed Brindley

Chief Security Officer

Ed Brindley is the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and Director of Commercial Cybersecurity at PLEX. Ed is a senior leader with over 27 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology, and intelligence. He is a veteran of the US military and recently served in the Pentagon as Director of Cybersecurity for the Department of Defense (DoD), acting in several roles: Senior Chief Information Security Officer (CISO); Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Cybersecurity; and Chairman of the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS). Ed previously worked for industry at the CIO Group, Booz Allen Hamilton, and General Dynamics.

Ed holds a M.S. in Technology Management from the University of Maryland with an emphasis on innovation. He has served as a mentor for midshipman at the Naval Academy. Ed is a fan of football and hockey and enjoys traveling.

Sarah Dabney

Director, SETA

Sarah Dabney is the Director, SETA (Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance) for PLEX and joined the company in 2019. Prior to joining PLEX, she spent over 7 years at ASRC Federal & it’s subsidiaries, serving as the Vice President, Intel, leading a growing portfolio that supported advanced collection capabilities across the Intelligence Community, focused on SIGINT and Cybersecurity. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts, and when she isn’t busy at PLEX, she juggles twins and a toddler, traveling the globe and enjoying the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.

Jeremy Gage

Dir, Adv. Cyber Solutions

Jeremy Gage is PLEX’s Director of the Advanced Cyber Solutions Division.  He has supported the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense in the development, deployment and sustainment of offensive CNO and exploitation capabilities in support of national security missions for more than 19 years.  Prior to joining PLEX,  Jeremy was the Vice President of ManTech’s Cyber Operations and Exploitation Solutions Division with responsibilities for numerous programs supporting CNO customers and operations across numerous agencies.  His responsibilities included business development operations, corporate strategy, program management and oversight of Internal Research and Development Investments. Prior to joining ManTech, Jeremy served as an officer in the United States Air Force and Special Agent for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations where he led numerous high-profile criminal investigations and counterespionage operations.

Danielle Kinney

Chief of Staff / Lead, Enterprise Business Ops

Danielle Kinney is the Chief of Staff & the Lead for Enterprise Business Operations for PLEX Solutions. Danielle provides support in the finance, contracts and acquisition aspects of client contracting. Danielle has been deeply involved in assisting the government intelligence community to achieve cost, schedule, and performance targets. She has diverse experience in client services in the areas of business management, metrics collection and analysis, and requirements gathering.

Danielle earned a B.A. in Communications from Campbell University, is a certified PMP, and is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. In her spare time she rides horses, motorcycles and enjoys skiing with her family.

Sean Olding

Director, Cryptic Vector

Sean Olding is PLEX’s Cryptic Vector Division Director. Sean has served the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense in various capacities including Engineering, Business Development and Program Management for over 15 years. Prior to joining PLEX, Sean spent 10 years at Northrop Grumman and 5 years at L-3 Cincinnati Electronics. For the last 7 years, Sean served as the Active Cyber Effects and Systems Department Manager for Northrop Grumman’s Xetron Campus in Cincinnati, OH. His responsibilities included program execution, customer satisfaction, strategic direction, and financial performance.

Steven Campbell

IT Mgr, CISO & Lead Data Eng

Steve is the Lead for Data Sciences & Engineering.  He has served in the Intelligence Community for over a decade working projects in the areas of Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Content Management Systems.

Prior to starting with PLEX, Steve was the Senior Corporate IT Manager for Varen Technologies and a Senior Consultant in the area of Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Content Management Systems starting in October of 2006. Preceding his time at Varen Steve worked for Data Management Group as a Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Consultant/Teacher, providing services and instruction to variety of public and private organizations.

Steve has also worked and traveled as a Technical Sales Engineer providing Financial Management and Business Intelligence solutions to the insurance industry.  Steve performed all manners of Information Technology assignments from System Administration to Technical Support to Website Design to Social Media management for several private companies.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from The Catholic University of America. He also holds a Master’s of Science in Information Assurance from Iowa State University and has continued his graduate studies in Systems Engineering and Human Computer Interface Design. He currently is a member of AFCEA – Central Maryland Chapter.  In his free time Steve enjoy traveling with his family to historical items and roadside oddities.

Monte Blakely

Lead, Dataflow Eng.

Monte Blakely is the Lead for Dataflow Engineering. Monte Blakely has wide-ranging experience in a variety of technical disciplines, including systems engineering, software development and testing, and cyber security.

Monte started his career writing software at a large defense contractor, modeling satellite orbital dynamics in support of an Internal Research and Development (IRAD) project. He then created interactive web-based technologies post-9/11 in support of the Global War on Terrorism, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Monte wrote software to support Red Team penetration testing prior to performing systems engineering and cyber security tasks at Ft. Meade and Joint Functional Component Command for Network Warfare (now US CYBERCOMMAND). Additionally, Monte has performed software testing on a Royal Australian Air Force C4I system and for other cyber security programs. Most recently, he has worked on an enterprise-wide Smart Data tagging and tracking initiative while also working on implementing highly-secure dataflow processes for a myriad of data formats.

Monte holds a B.S in Information Systems Management from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), a M.S. in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and performed post-graduate coursework in Finance and Economics at Harvard University. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cooking, reading, and sports.

Doug Campbell

Lead, DevOps and Site Reliability

Doug Campbell is the DevOps and Site Reliability Lead for PLEX, providing agile response via automated and streamlined processes for software development and infrastructure management. Doug has supported the Intelligence Community for over 15 years with roles including FSO, CSSO, Systems Administrator and DevOps Engineer.
Doug is currently enrolled at University of Maryland University College pursuing his degree in Information Systems and is certified as a RedHat Systems Administrator (RHCSA). In his free time, Doug enjoys spending time with family, cheering on all the local sports teams and is an avid hunter.

Ronnie Choe

Lead, Cyberspace Plans and Policy

Ronnie Choe is the Lead for Cyberspace Plans and Policy. He has over 16 years of experience in military operations, intelligence analysis focusing on signals intelligence, and cyberspace operations.

Ronnie began his career as a Marine infantry and intelligence officer in 2002 with multiple combat deployments to the Middle East, including serving as a scout sniper platoon commander, adviser to the Iraqi Army, battalion intelligence officer, and military liaison officer. As a reserve Marine officer, Ronnie has supported the Joint Chiefs of Staff and currently serves as an intelligence officer.

In his contractor capacity, Ronnie has served as a cyber operations planner and as a lead intelligence analysis trainer. Ronnie is currently a threat analyst supporting special operations.

Ronnie holds a B.S in Political Science with a minor in Japanese from the US Naval Academy and an M.S. in Intelligence Analysis from Johns Hopkins University. As a father of three young children, Ronnie doesn’t exactly remember what spare time is.

John DeLaere

Lead, Cyber Systems Eng.

John DeLaere, PMP, is the Lead for Cyber Systems Engineering.  He has over 25 years experience planning, engineering, and operating a diverse spectrum of weapon and information systems that support our Nation’s defense.

John started his career as a 1991 Naval Academy graduate and was winged as a Naval Aviator in 1994.  He spent the next 10 years as a strike fighter pilot and deployed multiple times on aircraft carriers to the Western Pacific, Mediterranean Sea, Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf.  During this time he also served as an FA-18 instructor pilot and air wing Landing Signal Officer.  He entered the cyberspace operations mission area in 2005 when assigned to Joint Functional Component Command for Network Warfare as the Operational Plans Branch Chief working several national strategic and combatant command level operational planning initiatives.  Following a deployment with Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa as the Effect Assessment Chief, he joined the Navy’s newly commissioned 10th Fleet where he led operational planning for cyberspace support to theater maritime objectives.  After completing a 22 year Navy career, he is currently a systems engineer working to develop and deploy information systems.

John holds a B.S in Engineering from the US Naval Academy and a M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College (CNCS).  He enjoys spending time with his family and sports.

Chris Hillman

Lead, Cyber Ops Eng.

Christopher Hillman is the lead for Cyber Operations Engineering at PLEX.  Chris has over 23 years of experience in a broad range of Information Technology roles from Systems Engineering, Application Development, Cyber Security, Network Defense, Cyber Operations, and Program Management.  Chris is a proud member of the 175th Cyber Operations Group of the Maryland Air National guard where he is currently a Master Sergeant, acting as the Superintendent of the Operational Support Flight and develops cyber exercises and training events for offensive and defensive operations.  Chris joins PLEX after 20 years of federal service in both the Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Chris holds an associate of Information Systems from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Digital Design, and a Master’s of Cybersecurity.  Chris also holds SANS GIAC Pen Tester (GPEN), and SANS GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) certifications.

Marcus Johnson

Lead, Mission Software Solutions

Marcus Johnson is the Lead for Mission Software Solutions for PLEX. He has nearly 20 years of software engineering and intelligence experience. Marcus has proven ability with providing software development, integration, DevOps and testing expertise. He began his career at Booz Allen Hamilton where he developed OCR image recognition software and he now currently supports an enterprise operations effort that involves advancing and modernizing capability and component registry systems.
Marcus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Howard University and a Master’s in Information & Telecommunication Systems from Johns Hopkins University. In his spare time, he enjoys working in various community service and volunteer groups. Marcus is currently involved in the ALS DC/Maryland chapter and the FIRST Robotics Chesapeake where he mentors robotics teams and judges at state competitions. Aside from that, Marcus enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and doing anything outdoor related.

George Mohnasky

Lead, Enterprise Operations

George Mohnasky is a Lead at PLEX. George is a retired civilian employee with over 36 years of cryptologic and signals intelligence experience. While serving he held various technical and leadership positions including Chief of Signals Development Division, senior representative to the joint agency team that established the National Cyber Mission Force and co-led the establishment of cyber tradecraft.
George retired from government service in 2015 and joined contractor world where he served as a Senior Cyber Consultant to dealing with plans and exercises. He joined PLEX in 2016 as a System Engineer supporting the transition of legacy analytic systems to the modern architectures.
George holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland University College.

Eric Moody

Lead, Cyber Intel Analysis

Eric Moody is the Lead for Cyberspace Intelligence Analysis for PLEX. He has over 24 years of electronics warfare, anti-terrorism/force protection, cyberspace operations and intelligence experience. Eric began his career in the United States Navy in 1992 as an Electronics Warfare Technician and retired in 2012 as a Chief Cryptologic Technician Technical. His last assignment in uniform was at United States Cyber Command as the Deputy Intelligence Lead for one of the operational planning teams. Eric is currently providing all-source intelligence analysis and production in support of DoDIN military computer network operations and planning efforts at USCYBERCOM.

Eric holds an AAS in Applied Electronic Studies and is working towards his BSAST in Technical Studies. When not at work, Eric enjoys working on cars, graphics designing, and spending time with his family.

William Phillips

Lead, Bus. & Analytic Apps

Will Phillips is the Lead for Business & Analytic Applications for PLEX. He has over 15 years experience in information technology supporting government customers. He began his career supporting the Department of Defense as an IT consultant. He implemented and supported a content management system for the Navy. For the past 12 years, he has been supporting several different intelligence community customers. He is a Subject Matter Expert in Business Intelligence and Enterprise Content Management software.  Will has led several efforts for the migration of IBM Cognos for user communities of several thousand.

Will graduated from the College of Southern Maryland with a degree in Business Administration. In his spare time (which pretty much does not exist with 3 children in elementary school, sports and activities), he likes to golf, watch sports, and travel to local beaches. Will and his wife Jessica live in Southern Maryland and are raising 2 girls and a boy.

Casey Raiford

Lead, PLEXWorx

Casey is the Lead for PLEXWorx, PLEX’s internal R&D shop. He has over 30 years of experience in SIGINT, ISR, Special Operations, Operational Test and Evaluation, System Engineering, and organizational leadership experience. He specializes in identifying good and bad ideas at a distance.

Casey is a retired US Navy Master Chief Petty Officer who began his career as a Persian Farsi operator deploying aboard surface combatants during the Iran/Iraq war. Following Desert Storm he became a Naval Air crewman, and when not flying naturally spent a lot of time aboard submarines. He subsequently served as an Operational Test Director at the Naval Information Warfare Activity developing and fielding prototype IO and EA systems. Upon graduating the Special Warfare Combatant Crewman he spent six years as a tactical Cryptologic operator. He served an administrative tour back at the Defense Language Institute where he was responsible for 200+ future linguists on a daily basis. Casey finished his Naval career as a Senior Enlisted Leader.

He has been in the private sector since retiring in 2011 as a Subject Matter Expert, instructor, Capture/Proposal Manager, Program Manager, PMO Director, and Vice President of Customer success. In his spare time Casey enjoys precision long range rifle, dynamic pistol shooting, amateur radio and reads extensively across a broad range of topics.

Tammy Sidey

People Enthusiast

What is a People Enthusiast? At PLEX, it is the person who is devoted to both candidates and employees, taking care of everything from hello to hire to happy anniversary! With 15 years of experience in Human Resources and Personnel Security, Tammy supports PLEX by helping to create and maintain a corporate culture that is employee focused.

Tammy is a graduate of Catholic University of America where she received a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater. After a career in the performing arts, she then received her HR Certification through Cornell University. She has since been dedicated to working for DoD companies as an FSO and HR Generalist. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Industrial Security Awareness Council (ISAC).

Tammy still loves to sing and act (around the house) with her husband and two kids and her dog, Buzz.

Joe Smith

Lead, Technical Collections and Operations

Joe Smith is the Lead for Technical Collections and Operations at PLEX. He has over 20 years of experience in Signals Intelligence collections, analysis, and operational support. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 13 years having supported both small unit special operations and national level strategic objectives. Joe has earned commercial certifications from CompTIA and CWNP as well as a BS in Information Technology from Kaplan University. He is always trying to learn something. He enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Sarah Trupo

Lead, Finance

Sarah Trupo is the Financial Lead for PLEX, providing financial, accounting, and budgeting services. Sarah has supported the Intelligence Community for several years in a variety of roles, include business management, acquisition, financial analysis, business intelligence, and project management.
Sarah earned her B.S. in Business Administration from West Virginia University and her M.B.A. from the University of Maryland University College, and achieved PMP, CDFM-A, and DAWIA Level III certifications. In her spare time, she is active in the cat rescue community and enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

DeMarco Wells

Lead, Cyberspace Operations

DeMarco Wells is the Lead of Cyberspace Operations with PLEX. He has 24 years of distinguished military service with a broad range of disciplines in Signal Intelligence, Cyberspace Operations, Space Base Operations and ISR.  He has proven skills in coordinating and executing threat analysis, collection management, risk management assessments and system engineering.

DeMarco holds an Associate of Communications Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor in Information System Technology (Cum Laude) from the University of Maryland University College and a Masters in Cyber Security from Virginia University of Science & Technology (Dec candidate).

When not working, DeMarco enjoys traveling, attending pro football, basketball, boxing, spending time with loved ones and doing anything that his girls are involved in.
